Bluetooth Won't Control Music App

I have a Sprint Galaxy Tab and I've found that while I can pair my bluetooth stereo headset (Moto S9HD) to the tab, I cannot control the stock Samsung music player (skip track, back track, pause) using the headset controls. I like the features of the music player (built in equalizer) and am reluctant to go to a paid app with similar features (e.g., PowerAmp) just to be able to get remote device control of the music. I have tried poweramp and it does respond to controls from my headset, so it is not the bluetooth stack on the Galaxy and I can only conclude the stock music player is not compatible. Has anyone else had success using bluetooth headset controls with the stock music app on the Sprint tab? Thanx in advance.

How much is the paid app? If it is under $5 is it really worth on the hassle you will need to go through to get a work around going? Nothing wrong with paying someone for an app.

Not trying to get a workaround going, just trying to make sure there is nothing wrong with the tab/application in question and that this IS expected behavior. If it is, then I will gladly pay for the app (though there are some features on the Samsung player that I like that are missing on PowerAmp). If not, I would rather figure out what the problem is so that I don't potentially pay for an app that I cannot use because there is some inherent functional problem. Thanks for the reply.

Win Amp is nice.,,,and i believe it is free

Thanks for the info. I have tried winamp and used it extensively on my Ideos S7 tab because the stock music app on that tab was lacking. Problem is that WinAmp doesn't have an equalizer and I really like having that feature. Again, this isn't about money or paying for an app. It's about features, the stock music player on the Galaxy tab has an equalizer and sound field features so I'd really like to stick with that if I can get bluetooth control going. Anyone have bluetooth control working on the stock Samsung Galaxy App music player? Thanks.

FWIW for future reference - I resolved the problem by ensuring all media player type apps that had bluetooth control/access were removed from the tab (e.g., WinAmp, PowerAmp) and it started working. Thanks for the replies.
