bluetooth won't work

Hi all,
Hoping someone can help. Since I last did a software update last week my bluetooth won't turn on, think i've tried most things. Is there a way of un installing the last update as all was fine before. Updated to 4.2.1

Could possibly be a issue with the rom you're using

I just did an OTA to 4.2.2 and Bluetooth will not turn on for me either.

Googling provided limited (helpful) results... More depressing than anything else really.

Not sure why its only a "Medium" bug though.

The link suggests its affecting more than just the S3... I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

The thread mynock linked to seems specific to the Nexus and 4.2.2. That doesn't apply to the OP. Many millions have updated the s3 to 4.2.1 with no BT issues.

Drac, other than trying to turn BT on again, what have you done to try to diagnose the problem? OTA's do sometimes cause problems, and when all else fails a factory reset will usually resolve them. Back up any data that's on you internal SD card first, as you'll lose that, as well as any data contacts or calendar data you have stored on the phone (as opposed to google). But you'll be able to reinstall all your apps without any problem.
