Bluetooth works with media, music, but now not the phone calls?

Ok, I have a Note 2, and for a while I could take my phone calls while on bluetooth through my headphones, and also, the first day I had my Gear S smartwatch. But other than that first day, and every once in a blue moon on my headphones, as soon as I make or recieve a call, the BT shuts down and the call stays only on my phone, and hand to God, I can't think of any setting/etc I messed with. So, thoughts?

When that happens, go to Settings>Bluetooth, tap the settings icon next to the Bluetooth device you're using, and see if Phone Audio became unchecked.

I wonder if there's a conflict. When you use the headphones, are you usually wearing the watch? Maybe the presence of both of them is causing some software conflict.

actually, this has happened independently for each of them. Never had both going at the same time, but it looks like you could be right about the settings, but not sure how the phone routing gets turned off.

Just as a update, nope, same thing happens. The phone audio setting is checked on, I tried calling myself from my house line, answered with the Gear S, and bingo, BT disconnected. Same thing when I made a call from the watch, instant disconnect. I don't get it. Again, when watching videos/listening to music on my headphones it works fine, but the second the phone comes into play, it disconnects, so thats both devices its happened to. Any thoughts?

Any idea on how to fix that? I mean, this is somewhat annoying. I can try this cache thing first-what exactly does that do?

I'll see what happens. Again though, the odd thing is that bluetooth works for everything else, videos, music, etc. Its just that when the phone function comes into play it disconnects from my headphones, Gear S, etc, even when the phone option is checked.

And nope, I used my BT headphones, the second I made a phone call, it disconnected the BT, despite having phone and media audio checked. So, any thoughts?

Looks like I fixed the problem. Talked to Verizon, they figured a app I'd downloaded was causing a glitch, so, I looked through my downloaded apps, and on a hunch, deleted a BT sound app I'd picked up a while ago but maybe wasn't using called SoundAbout. So far, so good since then.

Honestly, it still happened in Safe Mode I believe. The guy said either try a factory reset, or do some trial and error with apps. I just went through a few, deleted some that I hadn't used in ages anyway, and eventually came across Soundabout, I figured maybe that was having a hissy fit somehow, and so far so good. Worst case scenario, I am looking to get a Note 4 soon, so, the problem would have fixed itself then.
