I just received G5. I noticed my pics are blurry. If I take a pic from the normal lense its blurry and if I use the wide angle lense is gets much crisper. 1st pic is from the wide angle lense and the 2nd is from the normal lense. 20160731_211240_HDR.jpg

Do you have a case on? Could something be blocking the laser focus?

I do have a case on but its has a cutout around the whole camera assembly. Where is the laser focus located? The case I have is the slim spigen brand case. Just in case you're wondering what it looks like.

I think it's in the center of the camera module, so it doesn't sound like it's blocked. There's no plastic protective film on the camera glass, is there?

Is the normal focus zoomed in for some reason?

The easy camera settings also can produce blurry pics.

I did zoom in on the normal pic but you can see the background is blurry still. Even when I zoom out the pics are blurry

Is it possible you were in manual mode, there is manual focus while in manual mode?

This is a good point... sometimes when you switch from Manual mode back to Auto... it locks AE-L, which is locking your previous settings... try turning this off in Manual Mode...

Try this... Goto Settings > Display > At the bottom of the list select "More".. now Set up Motion Sensor Calibration... This setting uis actually used to set the internal and proximity sensor ... but .. hey try it... it used to fix the the HTC One M8 camera...

This did happen to me on my 1st G5... I just returned it.. the store were really good about it.. No hassel at all, after I beat him up and threatened him with a freak yhating accident..., :)

ide return it, and dont take "We tested it and we cant find a fault" rubbish for an answer, its your money and costs them nothing..... the camera may just have a faulty IOS or lense...

Lets no how you get on :)
