Blurry thumbnails in Gallery app

Hello,

I was wondering why the picture thumbnails in the samsung gallery app are not a clear resolution?

The photos clear up when click on them but when you scroll through the gallery app they are not a crisp resolution. Is it a bit pointless having a good screen when you don't have a clear photos when scrolling through photos?
