Bolt in my future?

I wish I had a penny for every hour I have spent on this forum. Been monitoring since January. I think a Thunderbolt with extended battery is in my future.

Droid Charge ... maybe. But build quality is suspect. TouchWiz no way.

Bionic looks nice but c'mon we know there is no software on the horizon that really will make use of those extra cores. Probably not until Ice Cream then quad cores will be all the rage.

For the next year, the Bolt might be home. BMX's "there is another" keeps messing with my head. But, that sounds like a year away.

I think it is a pretty good choice. I am a major phone geek and write for 2-3 different tech sites ATM. And in my amateur writing opinion I actually think the HTC Thunderbolt is the best phone out now. Better even then the Attic and Bionic simply because Sense is far superior to Motoblur right now. The Thunderbolt I am using also has the extended battery and I leave 4G on all day and I get about 30hours with moderate use. I own an iPhone 4, Thunderbolt, Nexus One, and Palm Pre 2 and I can say with certainty rout noe the Thunderbolt is the best phone I've ever had. The camera alone has me sold as this thing takes amazing photos.

No, not because it was the first 4G out there. That helped, but was not the most important thing.

-Hate Motoblur (Bionic out)
-Don't much believe in Dual Core for phones. I've been in IT long enough to know that there is a significant RAM penalty for simply supporting another core, even if it is not being used (which is gonna be the case for a long while I think). Also, the Bionic has only 512MB RAM even with the Dual Core, as compared to the TBolt's 728MB. TBolt should be a better performer.
-Would never buy a phone today without 4G. No way could I live TWO MORE CONTRACT YEARS without 4G. And, 4G is in my town now. This definitely ruled out the iPhone4.
-Love the 32GB SDcard that comes with the TBolt
-Love that it has a real extended battery available (many phones don't/won't).
-Screen size at 4.3" is perfect. I like the fact that the aspect ratio of the screen is slightly wider and less long than the competition (i.e. Driod X, etc.).
-Have had very good experience with HTC hardware in the past
-Have had very good experience with HTC call quality and volume levels in the past
-Have had very good experience with HTC speakerphone quality/volume in the past
-Have had very pleasant experience with HTC SenseUI in the past

And... I am very happy with my purchase.
