bonkers edge and capture swipe direction

This evening, the edge feature switched from right t left side of the screen. Likewise the swipe direction to take a screen shot changed to left to right from right to left.

How did this happen? Is there some setting I changed?

as for I know palm swipe feature works in any direction....as for edge u may have accidentally dragged it to other side

Swipe for screenshot works in both directions.

Settings>>Display>>Edge Screen>>Edge Panels
Tap the 3 dots on the top right>>Edge Panel Handle
Choose the position you want.

You can also tap and hold the edge panel handle, and move it up or down, or drag it to the left or right side of the screen.

If you want to avoid moving the handle by mistake, turn off "Move From Any Screen" on the Edge Panel Handle settings screen.
