Hi there. Has anyone used the regular book cover without keyboard? I'm considering it for travel.

If you're looking for a case without a keyboard you're far better off with cheaper Amazon cases like Infiland's (which is the only I've seen that also comes with a suitable S-pen holder, albeit doesn't charge).

I do wish Samsung (or someone) would come up with an additional cover for the keyboard one... so you can still use the stand plate on the back, yet not having to have the keyboard attached at all times.

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Book Cover Case as I don't need the keyboard and it's perfect for what I need.
Turns off the screen, has a special holder for the pen not to fall out, it folds in 2 different ways.
It's the only cover I have seen that has a holder for the pen and that's extremely useful when travelling.

The above two replies are dead on. The Samsung one is only ok.... It holds the tablet with magnets, not real secure. But the S Pen cover is GREAT. I have another, a Neepanda, leather one that is more secure for the tablet but no cover for the S pen.
I'm not sure what I would buy again if I had to.

Truth is once you experience the adjustable kickstand, it's hard to go back to the '2 position' cases, albeit them being lighter/thinner. That's why I wish Samsung (or anyone else) would come up with a hybrid of this, or a 'flap' accessory for when you don't need the keyboard attached.

These are the ones I've seen that have pen covers/holders and have used in previous tablets so can vouch for their quality.
Pen holder, but won't charge when in the holder (but does have an opening for the pen to charge, just won't hold it secure)

Only option I've seen with a Samsung-like pen cover... alas, it's completely magnetic, so yeah, the hold might not be so secure.

This one also has a Samsung-like cover, but I don't really like how it holds the tablet itself and those 3-angle covers have been finnicky for me in the past, so... alas, not magnetic, at least it'll have a better hold on the tablet.

Those are cool options. I got the keyboard one and realized I don't want the keyboard all the time. So the one with the magnets gives cover and protection and should allow the keyboard when desired. Think I'll try it

This is exactly right. I have both the keyboard case (bought it half price when the tablet came out) and just recently bought the Book Cover. I like them both, but the ideal solution is a dummy flap to cover the screen when you don't need the keyboard. The back of the keyboard cover is great and with the near-permanent attachment (at least for mine), I'd prefer not to peel it off each time I want to use the Book Cover.

Between the two, I'm tempted to sell the Book Cover and just keep the Keyboard Cover since it's not much bigger/heavier, and it adds some great functionality with DeX.

I'm getting closer to pull the trigger on S6 and keyboard cover.
