books on home screen

Is there a way to get a book I am reading to display on the Home Screen rather than having to go thru Play Books?

If you hold down for a second on the home screen you should be offered an opportunity to create a 'Shortcut'.

Choose 'Book' and then select your title. The cover should appear on your home screen.

Disclaimer: I am using Nova Launcher on my Nexi. Let me know if it doesn't work on the stock launcher.

There is a widget called BOOK that will do what you want. It's on the first Page of widgets on the bottom
