Boost Mobile has been doing "upgrades" to their network in certain locations, which would include my area! Let me first state that I've had no problems with my coverage in the philadelphia area for the 1+ years I've had the service.
My phone started to display the NO SERVICE status the weekend before 3/10/13. I thought it was the mediocre zte warp that I have just acting up.
Well, I called boost the following tuesday (3/12/13) and was told that they were updating the towers, and some other things, and that it would be around july when they're finished entirely. I then asked "I'm not going to be able to use my phone until july"? That's when I was told that my area would be completed in 72 hours, and they would give me a $5.00 credit.
I called boost again on 3/19/13 to tell them that the problem still exists, and what happened to the 72 hour fix, and explain what was stated to me previously by their customer support, and was then told that they don't have an estimate when the "updates" would be completed, and I was then offered another $5.00 credit. I then stated that they're going to have to take more money off if I'm not able to use my phone, and have to wait for them to fix the issue. The customer support stated that I would have to keep calling in order for them to take more money off.
I then went to twitter to post about the situation, and was contacted by someone from boost that states the 72 hour issue is now going to be a 30 day issue! Plus it's an estimate, and I've already been given two different estimates, so what's not preventing it from being a 60 or 90 day estimate!
So they expect me to NOT use my phone for 30 days, plus pay the bill next month!?!
I wasn't warned, alerted, or contacted before any of these "updates" were to take place! U-N-A-C-C-E-P-T-A-B-L-E!!!
I will be in contact with virgin & simple mobile today!

That's the beauty of prepaid. If it's not working.. Go somewhere else. I love my Boost phone and service! I'm actually looking forward to when we get our upgrades!
