Will my boost j327p emerge 2016 ever be updated past 6.0.1? I thought it was supposed to be updated to Oreo or more. At least 7.0.1.

Highly unlikely at this point. MVNOs usually don't update their phones as reliably as the major carriers (especially the budget phones).
