Boot logo location

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this so I apologize in advance if it isn't. Anyway, I'm trying to find where the boot logo (specifically the one with the unlocked padlock that you get when you unlock the bootloader) is located in the phone. I think it would make a pretty cool wallpaper. If you know where it is I would appreciate your input.

I don't believe you can access it from your phone, but you might be able to if you had the rom on your computer. Don't quote me on this but I can remember having my computer detect all of the wallpapers and images when I had an unzipped rom on my computer.

if you unzip the rom on your cpu, it should be somewhere in the system folder i think, and the file is probably called something like bootscreen. you could probably unzip any of these aosp roms, doesnt have to be the stock rom.

I unzipped it and the only thing I could find was boot.img and I can't find any programs that will open a .img file.

Edit** just realized I'm dumb and that's not even close to the file I'm looking for.

Changing the boot logo on gb and froyo was a convoluted process and as I remember it is in the boot partition and the rom had nothing to do with it. You had to do some arcane adb commands and use heimdal to actually change it.

Dunno what ics has done to change the process but just relaying what it was like with GB. But yeah changing it would be nice. I had some cool boot logos on my fascinate.

I'm not exactly looking to change it. I want to find it so I can somehow save it to my SD and use it as a wallpaper.
