Bootloader Unlocked, Phone Won't Turn On, What are my options?

I've had my phone since launch day. I woke up Thursday morning to my phone's alarm. I shut the alarm off and leave it on my desk, still plugged in and fully charged, then I go about my day. A few hours later, I go to my phone and it turned itself off. I try to press the power button to turn it on, but it doesn't.

I then went into a crazy panic to try and fix it, searching for solutions online and trying everything to no avail:
- leaving the battery out for X amount of time
- leaving the battery and sim card out for X amount of time
- plugging into computer with and without battery
- pressing the power button and holding it too
- pressing the power button plus the down and up buttons and different combinations
- plugging it in without the battery to a wall charger
- plugging it in to different wall chargers
- plugging it in overnight
- using three different batteries
- etc

anyways, my point is that I'm about to give up and I need to know my options. my phone's bootloader is unlocked but I didn't install a custom rom. I hear that unlocking the bootloader voids the warranty, but I wonder if they will notice. I do not have insurance, but my sister does on her own account and we were wondering if we should swap phones and make a claim.

should I go to a Verizon store or should I call Samsung or use my sister's insurance? which one is fastest?

Do you have insurance?

Check your forums on xda developers website, and try to revert to stock. Make sure you have stock recovery and relock bootloader, if there is a one click tool, use it as you may have to use adb push commands from your pc.

I feel like my post wasn't even read.

I stated that I don't have insurance, but my sister does and we could swap phones in order to file a claim.

I also stated that the phone doesn't turn on AT ALL. so how would I revert back to stock? if I could turn it on in the first place, i wouldn't even need to revert back.

That doesn't sound like something that's very legit.

And honestly, I have absolutely no idea what happened. But it sounds like replacing it is your best bet if you can't turn it on.

I don't think you could even swap phones with your sister since there is no way for you to activate the phone to her account for the insurance claim to go through on the dead phone. I think your best bet is trying for the warranty at Verizon and don't tell them it is unlocked, they won't find out since it doesn't turn on and they aren't going to have some big investigation over it.

Thank you for a real answer!
