Bought my phone back in February, 2 days ago got the freeze/bootloop. Went to Verizon yesterday, they said there were no more LG V10's in stock but could give me a Samsung galaxy 6 edge plus or one of the galaxy 6 phones. Which i explained i didn't want back in February cause of the lack of expandable space. They told me to call the warranty line. Called them and the same run around, no V10's but could offer me a galaxy 6 phone. They gave me the LG number, called LG. went through about 5 minutes of prompts so they could tell me to put in a repair ticket online. Now i have to send them the phone with no batter, cover, sim card, microSD, and they deem the device is un-repairable, they send me the device back as is.

Great job LG, don't think i will ever be buying another one of your smartphones again.

Sorry for the lengthy post, but this phone is driving me crazy. between swapping out batteries all day long since i bought it and now this . Just thought i would share my story from yesterday.

Since the phone should still be under warranty, I am surprised they didn't send a refurbished one at least.

I had to send my phone back to LG as stated above they had it back to me in less than a week. I had a backup phone though so it didn't hurt as bad. I was upset about the inconvenience as well but was glad they replaced the motherboard. I was more concerned about how common an issue this is and planned to sell the V10 anyway because I don't trust it. I got more offers on my backup phone so I sold it got a different phone off swappa and now my LG is my back up phone.

So if you do go with another phone get this one fixed and sell or trade it to get some of your money back out of it.

i am using my old samsung galaxy s4, i don't think ill get anything for it so i will probably keep it as a backup still. i do plan on searching around for some offers/deals and trade in the V10, cause i don't want to deal with this again.

The Verizon store had a little heartburn, but they had one in stock, and they couldn't boot it up, they just swapped me out. Knowing that I may encounter this again is frustrating. I did have it happen on the replacement, but the freezer trick seems to hold out so far. Of course, I had factory reset in a desperate attempt to get it to boot (note I was on a hunting trip while messing with this phone) it's great, but this boot loop is always just one button push away.

Hopefully next time this happens, I can upgrade to the V20

That's unacceptable from Verizon, especially if you're under warranty. They overnighted my replacement as none in local stock. So frustrating. You can also call Verizon to replace it. I'd, personally, avoid that store in the future.
