Recently purchased N6 and learned of bootloop possibility. I read it started after a certain OS update? Mine is on 7.1.2

What going on with it and should I worry as a second owner?

I read of a possible solution from XDA. snip

What should I do?

Bootloop is when the device continually reboots itself, most likely from a firmware related problem. There is no more worry as a second owner than a first and nothing to do to 'prepare' other than back up valuable data. I would not worry about the XDA solution, nor the bootloop.

My Nexus 5x suffered from this and LG ended up replacing the "main board" to fix it. Fortunately it was fixed under warranty. This was a common issue on some LG phones.

I haven't heard of this being an issue on the Moto N6.
