Bottom 1/4" of touchscreen unresponsive

I was wondering if anyone else is having the some problem as me. The bottom 1/2" to 1/4" of my touchscreen is dead. Sometimes I have a tough time unlocking the phone because I cant drag the bar all the way to the bottom of the screen. Also in portrait stock keyboard i cant use the directional arrows at the bottom of the screen underneath the spacebar.

Is there anyway to calibrate the screen? This is getting frustrating and I'm thinking about returning it.

Yes try settings -> language & keyboard -> touch input -> text input -> calibration tool / reset calibration

(damn that's buried!)

I tried the calibration and I still have the same problems.
