I upgraded my NC to 1.1.0 sucessfully. I put Autonooter 3.0.0 on a MicroSD card. Witn my NC off, I inserted the card and then plugged the NC into my PC. I got a black screen for over 5 minutes. So, I disconnected the NC, removed the SD card and tired to turn the NC on. No joy, won't turn on, won't boot at all. Any ideas what went wrong?

I've read some other threads about similar problems. I know there is a fix to get back to stock. But, the ingo seems scattered over several threads. I only hav one 4GB SD card at my disposal right now.

With SD card out and NC connected to PC, I get this message: " One of the USB devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it."

Is there a proven step by step guide anywhere to get me back to stock?

Check out the sticky for restoring nook to stock....

Hopefully that will give you a starting point. From that it seems like you can run CWR from an SD card and restore stock 1.0.1

I looked at restore threads. I downloaded all the files, wrote them to my sd card, and put it in the Nook. When I connected the Nook to my pc, I got a messaage the the battery was too low to turn on. So, I took the sd card out, and put the Nook on charge. After a while, it turned on, booted up and when I checked my OS, I found that I had version 1.1.0. Apparently, my attempt to root with autonooter 3, never got installed, partially or completely. And, my battery probably got to low to turn the nook on. So, I didn't need to use CWR after all. I apologize to all who have tried to help me.

Now, my question is: Should I try to use Autonooter 3 again, or is there an easier
(more foolproof) way to root v1.1.0?

Have you tried connecting your Nook to your PC with the USB cable?
When I first rooted mine I found I was having trouble getting it to turn on. I couldn't do it with the power button, but plugging in the cable got it going every time.

I thought this was all sorted, but actually I'm still having trouble. I just turned off my Nook to test, and couldn't get it to power up. Popped out the SD card, and it's back on.

Anyone have any ideas why my rooted stock NC won't boot with the SD card? SD card is reformatted, has data on it.
