To make a long story short I tried to root my phone today. I got the SPrecovery loaded without a problem and even a rooted stock rom. That all went well.

Then I tried to load evilboot1g.img to overclock it.

Now phone is stuck at Moto logo.

I tried to load the evilboot9.img also but still nothing

Went to SPrecovery and wiped data/cache and still nothing.

Kinda running out of ideas here. Any help please. I do want to run overclocked but not sure how i messed up.

Update:

Ok reinstalled the stock rom with root.
back working but not sure if i can get over clock to work.

Update2:

Ok able to flash the rooted stock rom2.1 back on phone
got file from this URL: http://www.droid-life.com/2010/05/06/guide-to-rooting-android-2-1-on-a-motorola-droid/

ESE81update.zip

I really want to overclock to 1gig but do not want a custom rom.

Please any help is needed. Tho if there is a nice rom with 1gig kernel built in i would be willing to try.

Thank you.

That seemed to have fixed it thank you so much. about to download setCPU and overclock to 1gig hope it works.

Update:

Installed it and set profile for fail safe used audible tone and use cpu temp max: 500 min: 250 >50c does that seem right?

also noticed the 1gig speed is not a constant so i set the min to 800mhz and max to 1gig is that a good idea or is it better to set min to 250?

of course the whole point is much faster phone so please give add lol. And again thank you so much for helping this nooblet

I usually set my min to 250 to save on battery and keep heat down. I set the CPU governor to "on demand".

No offense but if it took all that to figure out wat to do then ya prob shouldnt be playing with root or kernels. And a phone that can get to recovery n M logo is not bricked
