60% with auto, only thing I noticed is it isn't really brightening up too much wen I go outside in daylight so I sometimes have to manually turn it up for that even on auto.

Just give it a second. It doesn't immediately adjust as its making sure the light is really brighter and you're just not walking under a light or something.

I really like that feature but I agree it can be too slow at times.

60% for me as well. I was thinking about dropping it down but with this battery I think this is the first android phone is can leave at a decent brightness and not have to charge every hour.

30% for me. Getting great battery life. Also hate the auto brightness feature so just leave mine at 30%

Hmm 30% is too low for my taste. The whites look too grey. I've been running auto with a 70% baseline which I find to be a nice middle ground.

So even if you have auto brightness on, it will still stay around the percent you have chosen right? I like that.

Auto brightness on this thing blows and the auto adaptive content contrast fluctuations at low brightness bug the hell out of me so I usually have it for about 50%

Leave me at 45 auto of when Indoors, week crank it up to 60/65 of im watching a TV show or movie just because of dark scenes in them. Anytime in outside I go up to 100, I can get away with it being lower then that but with sunglasses on etc I don't have to worry about it.

So for those that are around 40% what do you do for brighter situations? Just UAE the brightness toggle in the notification tray or manually adjust the % in the display settings?

Both depending on what I want. If I'm going outside I use the toggle to go to 100. If I just want to bump it up but not all the way I long press the toggle to go to settings and move it up to what I want.
