Brightness Dims After Dock or Charge

Running Gingerbread 2.3.3 on my Verizon Droid Pro, my screen resets to 25% brightness any time I remove it from the dock or unplug a charger. The setting displays the previous setting (like 55%) and the default setting in the Android settings remains set to about 40%. But for some reason, the screen is quite dim and after playing around I'm pretty darn sure it's set to 25%.

Any thoughts how to correct this? At the very least I'd like the default to be 50%, not 25%. But, ideally, it returns to the last setting rather than resetting to 25%.

Thanks,
Jared

Never had this issue, and I'm certainly no expert, but my Droid Pro came with a widget I use to switch brightness. Check that out, I'm sure yours has it too. It's under Android Widgets > Power Control > Far Right icon. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I do use the widget. Just annoying that every time I take off the charger I have to go into the widget to adjust it.

Yeah it sounds annoying. If anybody knows what's up with that particular issue I hope they post a fix in case it is happening to more than just one phone.
