Brightness keeps going to the MAX

Not sure what's causing it, but i always keep my screen brightness pretty low and every couple of days, something causes it to max out, which kills my battery before i pick up on it.

This has happened with different ROMs, but maybe it's an app?

Any way to check or any known issues?

Hero 1.5 or 2.1? Have you tried the auto-brightness setting?

I'm pretty sure i have and the same thing happened. I'll try it again and see if the same bug occurs.

do you have the power control widget set up? if you hit the brightness toggle, it has 3 settings, and one of them max's out the brightness.

Actually i don't. So i'm not sure what's causing it. Just reflashed a ROM and hit auto, so i'll see what happens.

that IS weird. idk man, theres some basic trouble shooting you can do.
flash the rom and install NOTHING. idk how often it happens, but see if an app if your issue. i truely dont know of an app that does that, but thats prolly your best bet
