Browser Google Issue

Normally, when you start typing something in Google, it autocompletes what it thinks you're looking for (Google Instant) and shows you the most frequently searched items for the letters you've typed to that point below the search box, even full links to sites. Now even if you haven't finished typing what you want to search, you can still click the links to either go to the site directly or it completes the word for you and presents its search results without you having to hit the search button.

When I start typing something in Google (stock browser) it does show me what I'm looking for (Google Instant)... even direct links to the site I may be searching.... BUT, unlike on the computer when you click what comes up, it doesn't start the search, it just clears the box and leaves what you type only and I have to finish typing it out anyway, OR, click the arrow button on the side of the item I want to put the word or phrase into the search box, THEN click the search button (magnifying glass).

Does this happen to anyone else? It's annoying and tedious and seems like it's not right. Is there a fix?

Hey Johnny,

I am having the same problem. Thanks for typing it all out and explaining it so well. I noticed this problem before and after any updates I received from Sprint. I am not sure what the fix is. So far, I just hit the arrow next to the search term I want and then hit the magnifying glass. It is an annoying problem.

For some reason Google's search page defaults to this when search is triggered from a Google app. Look familiar? I'll play around and see what can be done to work around. I hate it too, it's like using "Google lite" and is weak all the way around.:-\

Ya it's not browser hijacking as some have claimed. Hmmmm. There's no option to clear defaults either (settings 》application manager). Anyone else have this issue?
