So, I was hoping the new update would solve my issue but nothing happened. I have an Acura RDX and when I try to pair my HOX with the car's hand free system, the system can't find my phone at all. It is like my phone is not there. I know the system works since it pairs with my wife's iPhone 4 and my old skyrocket. I tried discovery mode and every other thing I could think of. This is not a deal breaker but every now and then I take road trips and I will like to talk on the phone with out having to hold it for long periods of time. Any advise?

I had this problem once. (Chrysler)

It turned out to be either 1) needing to reboot the car's system OR 2) lots of radio noise.

I say either, because I solved both problems at once and can't be sure which fixed it. It was not a problem on the phone.

Fixes:
1) Dig into your manual and find the fuse for the car radio/screen/nav system Turn Car off. Pull fuse(s). Let sit 45 seconds. Replace fuse.
(You need to do this because these systems are always pulling a little juice from the car battery, and they really never reboot).
You usually won't lose any existing pairings, radio favorites etc from doing this.)
Turn on car to Accessories. See if it can see your phone when you make it discoverable.

2) Tune radio to un-used AM channel. If you here a lot of noise, move car to another location, or find out what is making it and shut it off. (In my case it was a Ryobi battery charger for my cordless drill.)

Thanks! I tried what you mentioned above but it did not work. The weird thing is that when I use my phone to look for devices to connect I see a wireless printer from one of my nieghbors but when I use my wife's (GS 2 SR) phone I see the printer and the car. I am at loss right now. This is the only issue I have with the phone.

Well I'm stumped...

You did have the car search for the phone right? That is the way my car wanted to do it. First I had to set the PHONE discoverable (5 minutes), then tell the car to search.

This phone offers more than my wife's Atrix 2, because in addition to phone, it can do audio, which may make it trickier somehow.

How old is the Acura? Maybe your dealer has a software upgrade for it.

Presumably you have googled?

I did have the car searching for the phone. It found the skyrocket but the HOX. The car is from 2007. I will call the dealership and ask if they have an update. I do know the Acura website does not list the HOX but it does not list the Skyrocket either and that one works. I tried googling it but no luck yet. Thanks for the help...

Wow. Voodoo.
You should document what was playing at the theater just in case it matters.

It was Prometheus which consequentially stopped playing towards the end. It took 15 min to re-start but at least I got a free ticket out of the ordeal. :D
