BT speaker volume?

I can have music playing at a low volume. Phone will ring, take the call. Then when I hang up it goes to full blast. And when I first connect the volume goes full blast. Do I have a setting wrong?

The only thing I can think of is go to settings, search up "volume". Then choose media volume limiter.. maybe it's set to high? Idk
