Discovered this by accident.
First, install the NFL mobile app. This app is a Verizon exclusive and is not available via the market. The apk is available somewhere in this forum.
Now, install VLC Remote (beta) by Peter Baldwin from the android market.
Apparently, the NFL network stream file format launches VLC remote and the stream is launched on your PC via VLC if you have VLC remote properly configured.
This is somewhat of an unwelcomed bug if you want to be able to watch the NFL network on your EVO. I havent contacted the author of VLC Remote (beta) about this bug. Although, I'm a bit surprised no Verizon android user has come across this.
So can anyone confirm this bug?
