"Built-in" voicemail?

Hi,

A quick one. My old phone (Sony Xperia Z1) had "built-in" (I'm probably not using the right terminology here) voicemail. What I mean is, the phone itself had that function, so I had a choice between using my carrier's voicemail (the calls to which weren't included as a part of my plan), or the phone itself could perform the service, and callers could leave voicemails for me, and I could listen to them, etc.

Does the Nexus 6 have this? I suspect not, as I couldn't find it, but I thought I'd ask. I did Google this, and didn't really find any relevant info.

Many thanks.

Vlad.

Mmm, I don't think it does. But, it's very good at reading carrier voicemail settings, as well as seamlessly changing voicemail providers. For instance, it's compatible with Google Voice's voicemail.
