I don't know if that IG video link works, but the story is I have had this note 8 since it was released. At one point a couple of months ago the lag was terrible, it restarted several times a day. I finally did a fresh install and THAT went away but then my AOD stopped working and bluetooth (in my car) would drop out and then reconnect. All that being said, I could deal, whatever, I've never had a phone that has 100% worked 100% of the time.

Yesterday I was driving with Waze on, and happened to be looking right at it when this started. It travels down the screen about 2/3 of the way and then just stays like that (even when it's unlocked)

No, I don't have insurance, I'm pretty good with my phones and TBH this is the first time I've had a bum set. Had to pay out of pocket for a new Note 8 (YAY MY AOD will work on the new one!) but- do you guys think I could sell this one on ebay for parts? Or some techy guy could fix it?

PS My new device is insured

The device has a 1 year warranty on it, if it's not working right and there is no physical damage they should replace it for free.

No, not the carrier. Samsung. The one year warranty is from Samsung. After the 14 days the carriers wash their hands of it.

Did you try doing another factory reset again and test with nothing else installed for a day to see if issue returns? What month security update are you on?

Thanks- I googled it and people don't really have problems exchanging the phone with the manufacturer's warranty (1 year on a new device, I'll get a refurb, it is what it is) with AT&T, I will go down there today. Or call...I did try another factory reset and it did not go away. I am on the January update.

I think I use about 3-4 phones a year for about 10 years now (Two years ago I had seven!) and have never had any real issues until this one, them's the odds I guess. I figure I won't get another for another 10 years :)

Not true. I got my S8+ from Verizon and Verizon replaced it three months later because of dead pixels. The 14 day thing is if you want to return it because you don't like it.

I went into an AT&T and showed them the screen. I had the Best Buy receipt, thinking they were going to hassle me about that- he said NOPE it's an AT&T phone, still under the manufacturer's warranty and I have a refurb being sent- thank YOU GUYS for letting me know about the manufacturer's warranty!!!!

On a side note- I kept the brand new set I ordered. I decided I would sell the refurb and keep the shiny new set :p
