Busted Q and I need a little help

My girlfriend recently dropped her Q onto a carpeted surface and naturally the screen/digitizer are now broken on the bottom of the device. The phone has a pattern lock and she cannot get back into it to rescue the files off of it. After doing a bit of research, I noticed that some people have used USB on the go cables and mice to access their devices. I was wondering if this would work on the Photon Q. Thanks so much. Any help is appreciated.

Try plugging the phone into a computer using a USB cable. You should be able to access a decent number of folders that way.

She already tried that. She can't get into anything because of the lock on the phone.
