Hi N1 users, Ive been interested in the N1 for a while now and i am considering on buying and unlocked one cause first of all i am not from the US and 2nd i just like Factory Unlocked phones. But the thing is, Ive heard lots of issues and i had to read lots of articles regarding these issues.

So this time i wanted to here it from the users themselves and see what problems does the N1 have before making a choice of buying it, and the fact that Google lacks supports to its product sucks too.

I would like to hear ur opinions and whether or not i should buy it :D Thanx

I have had my N1 for 3 weeks. I say - YES.
I was concerned like you. Reading all these issues. But, like any forum. All you hear about are the people with problems. I have had no problems with mine.
They only thing you should be aware of is the slight mis-alignment of the dedicated "home" buttons at the bottom of the screen. You have to press the top area of these for a touch to be registered.

Probably not as there are better alternatives.

Thanx for ur advice bro, yea the other alternative im considering is the Samsung Wave, still not released yet but soon to be later this month, or in May 1st week or 2nd week

Yea ive heard abt that also, well ur a lucky person :D wish ill be satisfied like u if i got one. Thanx for sharing :D

I've been researching this for a while and feel that I've read all the pros and cons...it seems like all the major problems have been ironed out. Now there are just minor issues that all seem to be able to be fixed with a software update...excluding the speaker quality.

I really hope so, Thanx for sharin bro :)

I've had mine for a couple weeks now and, all in all, it's the best phone I've owned. Better (for me) than any of the iPhones, Blackberry 9700 and Nokia E71. As close to the sweet spot between business and personal in terms of features and none of the advertised problems - so far.

Thanks man, but i also have another question, does it depend on where u buy it ? like maybe if i bought it from the US or EU would it differ in hardware issues or quality ?

I've had some small gripes and couple of issues, but not big enough for me to keep my 3Gs. It's up for sale.

I rooted and put a custom mod on my N1 last night and it's much improved.

Build Quality on my ATT version of the N1 is awesom, every bit as good as iPhone.

I have seen some minor issues with software like the Email client (not the Gmail client), but I replaced the built in one with k-9Mail from the App store and it is way better. I have found replacements for every bit of software I had on my iPhone, at least those that I need. Even full page Printing to my HP OfficeJet!!

If you've handed your life over to google (go ahead raise your hand, just like me) this is the phone for you. Everything integrates so well, Google Voice, Talk, Mail, Docs, Maps, Googles, its all good.

Wow that's amazing and I wish all the best for u, but u didn't see any serious issues ? Or issues that affect the call quality or anythin like mms not working, or how abt the battery life ? .. If u have any difficulties u didn't mention please share and thanx bro :D

every phone will have its imperfection and knowing how technology develops and changes like every other week, it is better to get one asap and enjoy the moment!

Ur a 100% right xD ! Oww I didn't mean like minor issues I meant issues that really affect u in calling and sms and mms which are essential these days for a phone to be a phone..

Like any big issues that I have to worry abt each day in using the N1 ?

I'd love to have a phone designed by the company who makes the operating system it uses as well as updates it. I don't see how you could go wrong with that.

I agree ziaodix, but I feel like the lack of customer support along with some of the hardware issues is pushing the incredible in front of the N1

You got a point there DDVX, plus I'm in a country where there is no official or authorized dealer to get an N1 from which means any issue I got I have to face it myself, can't exchange or return or anythin.. I'm from UAE / Dubai and we do have sellers here but no official dealer, the N1 isn't officially released here :( that's why I wanted to ask first before I buy it.
