So im still using an alcatel idol 3 from 2015 and its starting to slow down big time, anyways was curious what people thought of the s7 in 2019.
One of my main requirements on a phone is 16:9 aspect ratio, besides texts and calls i watch youtube or twitch on my phone, which is nearly all 16:9 content.
The concerns i have with the s7 are:
Is the speaker as bad as people say it is? My idol 3 has great speakers and i know id be downgrading in that area but is it at least usable? I dont listen to music on my phone, if its loud enough to hear dialogue in a car thats all i really care about.
Home button wearing out. My idol 3 looks brand new three years later, and it appears there is no avoiding the home button wearing out and looking terrible eventually, are there ways to possibly put a small glass protector over the button? (i havent looked into this).
Those two things above as well as getting used to button placements (back being multitasking, volume rockers on the left side of the phone etc) are my other worries.
Generally, do you like the s7 in 2019 still? I know i would like the screen/camera/software experience of this phone the only other phone ive been considering is HTC 10 but it has its drawbacks as well.
Shame manufacturers all have swapped to 18:9 or taller aspect ratios, for someone like me who mostly watches videos on his phone i have to go back two years to find something.
