buying app on two phones

if you both share the same Gmail account (as in when signing in to the phone just before you activate it) then i believe you only have to pay once

Why not just buy the two apps for two phones? You can't expect to get quality applications and new developers if you're getting people blatantly ripping them off and pirating their software. 70-80% of the software in the Market is free anyways (so compare that to iTunes and App World - where you'd still have to buy the app on each phone)
