Buying locked G1 on Ebay, want to stay on T-mob, do I need to unlock?

Do I need to unlock the phone if I wish to stay with t-mobile and just use one of their flex pay plans?

Locked G1.

Phone is locked to T-Moble. No unlocking needed if you want to stay on t-moble. Just a Gmail account and password.

Thanks you are correct. I just took the phone and switched over to FlexPay - $35 unlimited data and messaging, $30 voice plan. A whole lot cheaper than competitors and it is a month to month plan which suits me just fine.

Yup as long as it is branded to the same carrier no unlocking is needed.

As long as you have a data plan with Tmobile you should be ok.
