Buying used AT&T gear s2 3g

I'm looking at buying a used 3g gear s2 for AT&T. Does anyone know if it is possible to activate it on a line that I already have active on my plan? Do I need to have a new line? How easy is it to activate or do I need to go to an AT&T store to have them activate it for me?

I bought mine new, however, I have bought plenty of things used. If you have an extra line that you want to transfer over to the Gear S2, AT&T will not have an issue with it. My Gear S2 lines used to be used for a phone, and now it's for my watches.
