I really wanted out of apple, sick of there over priced bland system sucking you into the Eco system to the point of no return.
I've had more Samsung's than I can remember, all of them slowing down, laggy, wifi issues to the point I went apple. Heck, it's a cell phone and I need it to work no matter how many features it lacked.
Then comes along pixel 2XL. Pure Android, no lag? No skin, awesome camera. I had to jump ship from boring apple, break away from the Eco system that tries so hard to keep me. I messages still has my group texting messed up.
Ahhh, pixel XL 2, what a change of pace. I LOVE IT! One year later, it's still blazing fast, the camera still impressed but once again, I am forced back to apple. Sigh, I swore I'd never go back to apple but unfortunately I have to.
You see I bought a gopro hero 7. For the life of me it won't sync with the pixel. After several reboots and reconnects and everything else it would connect, disconnect. Finally, I grab my wife's max, syncs right away zero issues. Hmmmm, ok, I'll just use her phone with the go pro. Then my mavic pro drone comes in, what, same problem????? Let me try the apple, bam, no issues.
Why? Why can't Android play nice!!! Oh and with some research, this has been going on for years with both the go pro and the drones. Google's fault? Probably not but I did lose 20 gigs of data in a few hours due to Google news giving it away. That cost me some money and didn't know what happen until months later when it made the news.
The head phone jack has been wonky since new, working when it wants. That's Google's fault. My Samsung watch wouldn't let me make calls with my phone because it would try to use my watch speaker which wouldn't work so I'd have to shut off Bluetooth to use my phone only to have the phone turn back on Bluetooth with out my permission. Frustrating.
No matter who fault it is, the bottom line is I need a device that simply works. I never had a single issue with my apple phones or watches, they just work. Yup they are boring but they work and are secure. Now I have to go buy an over priced iPhone, but hey, at least it works. I will not be coming back to Android, I have learned my lesson and now a apple fan boy for life. Thanks Google.
