Question Bypass Default Android Mixer

Over the last year or so, Tidal for Android stopped bypassing the default Android mixer when a USB DAC is connected. When playing hi-res streams in the Tidal app with USB DAC connected, which supports hi-res sample rates, the audio uses the default mixer and resamples to 48khz or 96khz and not allowing the USB DAC to natively process. Bit-perfect if you will.

I have contacted Tidal support and the response is it is a limitation of Android OS and not the Tidal app. However, using the app USB Audio Player Pro, which has Tidal integration, is allowing bit-perfect to the USB DAC and bypasses the default mixer.

Amongst developers or those who use USB DAC, is this an OS limitation or an app developer limitation?
