Android Central Question

Hey. I just updated my s10 plus a few days ago to android 11.
But how do I access the cache partition? I have tried everything from usb cable to the old way, nothing works. It only restarts every time.

Welcome to Android Central! From what I recently learned, with Android 11, you have to connect the phone to a computer via USB first, then follow the usual steps: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...y-s10/wipe-cache-partition-samsung-galaxy-s10

I moved this to the S10 forum for more specific traffic.

You tried this?

Turn off the device.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby key, then press and hold the Power key.

When the Android logo displays, release all three keys.

An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.

Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.

Press Power key to select.

Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.

When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.

Press the Power key to restart the device.

I have had the same issue on my S10+ since I upgraded to the beta. I reported it to Samsung Beta Feedback and I am cross they have released stable without fixing this. I also mentioned it in a thread on here a while ago, but can't remember when. So far I have not found a solution to this problem. But I will report it again to Beta feedback since I am still on the beta build.

I have reported it again and told them people on stable build are complaining of the same issue. Dunno if it will help.

I have tried everything and it still doesn't work. The phone starts up as normal. When the logo appears I release the buttons but then samsung shows up and then the phone is up and running as usual.

I plugged mine into a windows laptop, logged into windows. I tried every combination and eventually it worked. I had to press volume up with power button and it went into recovery mode. Did not work with chromebook or power cable. Had to be done with a windows PC. Try again. No bixby button JUST VOL UP + POWER

ANd don't let go of the buttons when the logo appears. I kept holding till the android bug came onto the screen then i let go

Some phone cases don't allow a good press of the three buttons even though you think they are being pressed. Try removing your case if you have one and try again. Mine acts the same way after the update as before, no plugging into a USB..... works just like it did before.
