Calendar annoyance

While I love the utility and look of the calendar app, one thing is causing me a problem: the new appointments default to being on the "My Calendar" calendar. I don't use that. I only use Google Calendar so that I can see my appointments on the computer and other androids. One time I made an appointment yesterday, the subsequent appointment did default to the google calendar, but today its back to "My calendar". I don't have "My Calendar" show on the app, yet the appointments keep wanting to revert to being placed in that calendar. HELP!!!

Can't you just go into the settings within the calendar app and uncheck the My Calendar? Try it and see what happens.

it is unchecked! somehow the s/w thinks it should default to "my calendar" despite the fact I don't view that calendar.
