Calendar app - date always 31

Why does the calendar app always display "31". How hard can it be to have it display the actual date!?

Yea, I was always mad at this, since I was so used to WebOS!

Now I'm kind of use to it but definitely agree with you.

And from time to time I still glance at it and find out with horror that it can't do what my Palm Prē and my PalmPad do!

Yes, I could!
But it's better, faster and definitely way more elegant to have a calendar icon similar to the good old WebOS one! :thumbup:

I didn't want to compare it to Apple/iOS, but since others did I will agree that this is another area where Apple beats Samsung. Hopefully this will be fixed in future updates.

Pretty ridiculous, right? My iPhone's default calender app icon says the current date every day. Must be pretty hard to make any of the Play Store calender apps display the current date because I sure as heck can't find one.

Pulling down the notification tab does nothing. The date stays the same afte you go back.

I think the date is just a picture of a date for the icon to say that there is a calendar.

For me, the most annoying part is that when I select the widget it takes me to the wrong date. - wrong week - I'm forever stuck on March 24th

Just got my note 4 and noticed the calendar app is stuck on 31. How do you change this for the current date?
My I pads, touches even my parents cheap LG L90 phone has the current date, but this one stays on 31. Samsung copies everything else from the iPhone why can't they get this right?

i was searching for a calender app thatt shows the current date on the icon, too! My LG phone has this and wanted this for my current Moto E phone. I googled this and lead me here. tried that widget. Perfect!! Thanks you!!!!!!

I upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the stock Google calendar showed the current date display on the app while on my home screen. Awesome!

Then downloaded the Google Launcher and it's now static again with the "31" regardless of the current day.

What gives?

The calendar date shows correctly in Easy Mode - But shows the 31 in in normal mode. Why?
