Blackberry user Thinking about Note 3. Calendar critical to me, but shocked that Android- and iOS- have very few recurring options like goggle calendar, while BlackBerry does?!? Example, set a class/meeting I have every THREE weeks on Tuesday and Thursday from ONE setting/interface: can't be done without creating 2 separate events?! Also, I can't set an event every 3 weeks or 3. Months, for example?!? Dealbraker

I can do it on the Google Calendar app with one event. Click Repetition. Turn ON. Change the number in Every 1 Week to 3, tap the days you want it to happen on. Done.

So it's an add-on, not native, and that's the app name, and it runs on all Androids? Thanks for responding.

My test device was a Galaxy Nexus with the standard Google Apps package so it has no manufacturer or carrier tweaks. It's in the play store separately as well so if Samsung or your carrier tweaks the default calendar, you can get to it.

Best thing to do is to get your hands on one and try out exactly what you think you need. Then you'll know without guessing.

Have played with several Androids @ different carriers' stores, and that's haow i found this all out ! Calendar was my first focus. Thanks. though.

i noticed that through the app on the phone it does let you set up repeats but seems to only let you deal with that day of the week. the gmail calendar online however does let you set the reoccuring date for different days. you would just need to set up that very specific reoccuring event through your gmail account online. perhaps the new 4.3 operating system will have changes to the calendar app.

That's okay until I need to edit event and only have phone available... Still don't understand why google hasn't given that to android?! And surprised that BlackBerry phones and Playbook calendars have Google functionality. Hmmm

So the question is, which one from the Play Store is the best calendar available? (or did you really think Google or Samsung is the only choice?)

I use Jorte Calendar connected to my Google account. Love it.

Try the app acalendar, it will let you set a repeating meeting exactly the way you want, in Google calendar (or any other calendar on your device).
