I first thought this was a problem with the 3rd party calendar UI app I'm using, but it turns out that's not the case as it doesn't do any syncing, and I see the same issues via the native calendar as well, or I'm seeing two different issues. One particular event/appointment is a weekly repeat with no end date. Notes and links set from the 3rd party app have a tendancy to disappear. The other day, the entire recurring series disappeared from the Droid so I recreated it. I then went to Google Calendar from my desktop and it showed both the original and the replacement.
Forcing a data sync from the handheld did not work.
Creating a test event on the Droid, and it syncs up to Google Calendar. Creating one on Google and it fails to sync down to the Droid.
GMail and Contacts sync in both directions with no issues.
