Calendar not syncing

The calendar on my S4 active is not syncing to my google or other calendars. I will receive the things I put on my other devices, but what I put on the phone doesn't go to the other devices. I am sure it is a setting problem, but I can't figure it out.

make sure that the phone's Calendar Settings have new events created on the phone added to the Google Calendar - and not to another Calendar.
