calendar on Gs3

I noticed my calendar is gone. Suppose to be a monthly calendar and it has tap to view events and date. Keeps scrolling. The icon on my main screen has the calendar just like when I got the phone. I have clicked settings and other choices at the top and it doesn't give me the calendar monthly layout.
If i get it back anyone know of how to put an alert on a day at a certain time

Just go into settings on the calendar app. Everything should be there.
