Calendar share

I have the note 7 and my wife had the edge 6, I'd like to be able to share (merge) our calendars together so we can both see and add events. I know there are apps but I'd like to use the stock calendar because we get alerts on our gear watches. Can anybody please help, I don't see how to do it.

Google calendar. Just log into each of your google accounts in the calendar settings find "share with" and enter each other's Google address. I think you'll need to do this from a PC or Mac. It's been like 6 years since I set up my wife's and mine so I'm a bit foggy.

She's got an iPhone and I've always had Androids and it's worked great.
