Calendar unusable after update

My Android updated itself over the weekend (huge update) and now when I go into the calendar it's pratically useless. When I select the Month view I can't see any days, just the Sunday in each week. All my events have now turned into a single blue lines (no details) and when I open each one the text is a barely visable grey
What has happened???

Looks like it could be the theme. Sometimes the new updates don't work with older themes. Try to reapply the theme, or pick another to see if it works.

Does that mean that non of my themes will work again since this latest update? They all worked before but now when I try to apply them it says stuff may not work etc etc. Really annoying if I can no longer use them. They were all donloaded from the Samsung Themes page

I deleted old themes and downloaded this one. It was free and seems to work with Pie.

Yes, some of my previously saved themes work, but about half don't (as far as being able to see the calendar anyway)

Bit frustrating given they worked before the update. I wonder why the change?

Usually takes a little time for the theme developers to update the themes to work with the new updates. I've noticed some not supported at first then after time start to work again.
