Calendar widget and the non existent LED light..

I cannot figure out how to change my calendar widget!
First picture is from my Samsung S4. This is what I need it to look like. It looked like this on my Moto Droid Razr that I had before the S4 but I don't remember how to do it.



This is what the stock calendar widget and the Google calendar that I downloaded both look like. I really want the month view just up without having to go into the calendar.



As for the LED light.. I know it's not there, but what I'm trying to figure out what are all the holes on the upper and lower display?
Left to right top
Flash- no idea-no idea- no idea- and camera

bottom 2 things on the outsides of the speakers
What are those?

With the option of changing the LED colors could a future update give the option of having the LED notification back? Are one of those holes where that would be?

Those little holes are sensors. No led, the option to change colors is something made into lollipop, motorola does not use led. They use the moto display which a lot of us like better than an led.

As far as calander i miss the samsung calander. I use the app called month calander, its the only one i have found i like that has a full month widget that you can see w out having to touch it.

I use a Calendar widget that shows a month view.

Loads of display options. You can set it up to bring up the daily appts when you touch a day and go to stock calendar to add and edit appoints.

Droid Turbo 2 has an LED in-between the left sensor group and speaker. I've only seen it lit up green. Not sure if it has any other colors

If it's anything like the moto X and droid phones since 2013, it's only a low battery indicator (when you plug in, to indicate the theft there is not enough battery to turn on the display) and cannot be used for notifications (until somebody figures out a permenant root for the phone.)

It was the ultra low battery warning that Moto phones (X, Turbo, Turbo 2, nexus 6) use. It's been successfully modded to be used for notifications on rooted devices.
