Call and Contacts color changed

From the time I got my phone the call background was blue and so was the contacts background. I woke up this morning and the background was bright white and is so obnoxious. I can not find any setting anywhere to change it back. I have no idea why it changed itself.

Yeah, the new color scheme seems to be Easter pastels...

On the bright side, Dark mode is coming soon!

Mostly likely you installed a new version of the Contacts app.

Prefer blue, white is just Stark. Dark mode may help depending on where it works and where it doesn't. Phone app update did it. Wished ida held back.

Yeah it must have been from the update. My wife's switched colors tonight also. I wish there was a way to change it back.

I don't believe it is specific to Pie. I have 8.0 and my dialer and contacts are also white now. Convenient in direct sunlight... night time, not so much.

It's not specific to Pie it's specific to the apps....Google broke the contacts and dialer out as separate apps a few years ago so now they can be updated independently of the OS. You could download and install an older version of the apk to revert to the previous version, but then you'd still get constant notifications to update from the Play Store.

Yeah they are updating all their apps to a white base so they can easily convert it to allow a option to turn on dark mode.
