Call answering on Gear S3 Classic stopped working

I used to be able to answer calls on my Gear S3 Classic (from the paired phone) and carry on a conversation through the watch. That has suddenly stopped working. I can still reject a call from the watch by swiping, but can't answer or converse. Any thoughts/solutions appreciated.

It's in the correct forum now. It was originally in a different forum (but I can't quite remember which one now).
