Call answering options

Google Pixel 2 - build OPM1.171019.011

When I get a call I have swipe up to answer, or swipe down to reject.

At some point, with some calls, on one of the Pixels I had (notice the precise info), there was an ANSWER and REJECT button on the top of the screen, which I liked much better.

Is there a setting somewhere to have this option?

Seems I'm a much better PUSHER than SWIPER - who knew -

I notice this only appears if the phone screen is on. For example if you are in an app, you will get the tap option at the top so you can quickly reject or accept the call without getting pushed out of the app you are in. I dont think this is a setting you can change.
