call audio quality?

How's the call audio quality on the G8 so far? I've read some reviews that state the call quality is terrible, and the in display speaker makes it worse than on previous G series phones. I have a G6 and want to upgrade, but this worries me. Any thoughts with first hand experience would be appreciated.

I've not had any issues... Calls are loud and clear on my end and I haven't had anyone on the other end complaining about anything. (On T-Mobile using the T-Mobile variant)

I think the G8's call quality is much improved over other phones I’ve used recently such as the G7 and the Galaxy S10+. I have a significant hearing loss and wear hearing aids but, even with my hearing aids, I had difficulty understanding callers through the earpiece speaker on other phones. I now wear hearing aids that allow me to stream the audio from my phone to my hearing aids, and that's been a great improvement. I recently upgraded from the G7 to the G8 and I was curious about LG's Crystal Sound OLED (in-screen) Speaker. I turned off the G8's Bluetooth and I was able to understand callers fairly clearly using the in-display speaker. I still prefer streaming the audio but for most people, and especially those who are hearing impaired, I think the in-display speaker will be a big improvement over the earpiece speaker.

I see you are newer user here, OP - welcome to Android Central! I've heard nothing negative about the call quality on the G8. My recommendation is to try it out for yourself and see! You can always return it if it is not to your satisfaction.
