Call Forwarding

Interested in forwarding calls from work cell phone (at&t) to my EVO. What charges would I incur, if any?

I have the any mobile, any time shared plan with 1500 min. through Sprint.

I have 600 min. through at&t on my company issued phone.

I would be, again forwarding my business calls to my evo for the sake of not having to carry two cell phones.

Scenario: I get a call on my company cell phone which have the calls forwarded to my Sprint line.....which line foots the charge/airtime?

I really appreciate your help with this. It would be a tremendous deal of help. Maybe many others in the same boat can benefit from this inquiry. Thanks again!

I went ahead and called Sprint and AT&T.

Sprint said the only time they charge monetarily is if you're forwarding your Sprint calls to another carrier. So for my scenario where I'm forwarding the AT&T number TO my EVO....Sprint says there's no charge and that same things as the plan applies, meaning any mobile any time is free and only landlines count against the Sprint plan.

Now on AT&T's end, they said there's no charge to activate call forwarding to another carrier's phone but the plans rates still apply. Therefore minutes are used when someon calls the AT&T number that are answered on my EVO.

So, if a cell number dials the AT&T number that call is forwarded and answered on my EVO. This call takes a toll at the AT&T plan, not on the Sprint plan as mobiel calls are free on Sprint.

Now, if a landline calls my AT&T work cell line...that call is forwarded to and answered on my EVO, then what this does is take a toll at the AT&T minutes and the Sprint minutes.


So there you have it.

So a landline in your scenario incurs 2 charges. :-(

Overall yes. Uses the minutes on the AT&T plan regardless of the type of call, whether cell or landline. Uses minutes on the Sprint plan if any only when a landline calls, during peak hours. Night and weekend free still apply for the Sprint plan.

For the convenience of carrying only one phone, it's a no brainer to me.

Can't you just use Google Voice?
